someone new check out this site, what would they think?.
Watchtower's biggest problems are its adamant arrogance and its shocking hypocrisy. The errors that it has made has been magnified by its continued arrogant, dictatorial and manipulative behavior despite having a history of error which should move it to act more humbly.
Watchtower is like a fool who has made many mistakes in the past but still believes he is an expert and demands that all listen to his advice or else he calls them names and ostracizes them.

I don't know that we're really that hard on JWs as much as we're hard on the Watchtower organization. Why are we hard on Watchtower?
"She that lifts herself up above the crowd, exposes her underwear for all to see."
Watchtower arrogantly lifts herself up above the crowd of religions so it's only natural that we'd see her filthy, tattered underwear that she's hiding under her pretty white dress. Why doesn't she keep herself on the ground with everyone else where she belongs? If she had done that then we wouldn't be tempted to look under her dress. In fact, we'd be in the wrong for going out of our way to stoop down to look under her dress. So if she wants to lift herself up above the crowd then she had better be damned sure that she has decent underwear. But no. She's wearing tattered, filthy, blood-stained, semen-stained and tear-stained underwear while she insists on lifting herself up while she says to all in a domineering tone: "Don't dare look under my dress! Keep your eyes fixed on the outside of my dress, or else . . .!"
And that's not the worst of it. When it is pointed out to her that her underwear is filthy and tattered and she needs to go change it, she gets upset and accuses you of lying and of being divisive and she tells others not to speak to you. And she further says: "Stop looking at my underwear! Why should my underwear be on any interest to you? Look only at my pretty white dress! It is the prettiest and whitest dress in the whole wide world! Who else has a dress as pretty as mine? What does it even matter what condition my underwear is in?"
Now if she would respond differently when the state of her underwear is brought to her attention then people would be kinder to her. If she showed genuine embarrassment and came back down to the ground and cried in embarrassment and apologized and sought to change her underwear or promise not to lift herself up knowing the state of her underwear, then we'd all feel for her and try to comfort her.
If she was humble and wasn't so full of herself, pretending to be more than she is, then she wouldn't be subject to such scrutiny and criticism.
Watchtower is haughty. Haughtiness is a form of dishonesty - dishonestly deceiving yourself and others into thinking that you're more important than you really are. Haughty ones need a reality-check.

Is this all there is to it - the voluntary donations of individual JWs and members of the public?
I have noticed literature servants counting literature periodically (stock taking?). What's the purpose of this? Why do they have to account for all the literature that comes in and goes out of the congregation? Are congregations required to give Watchtower a compulsory periodic donation for, and in proportion to, all the literature they receive from "Mother" during the period? Do the congregations effectively buy their literature from Watchtower?
For those who have served in the congregation's accounts dept. or literature dept., can you please give some insight on how exactly the system works?

You're not being picky at all. I don't think it's possible. That's one of the reasons why I don't believe the story is true but is just a piece of false propaganda devised by the writer(s) of Genesis to tarnish the image of the Moabites and the Ammonites. How do you make the Ammonites and Moabites inherently degenerate when they're the descendants of righteous Lot, without tarnishing Righteous Lot; and how do you do it in a way that cannot be disproved? Simple: You say these nations were the product of an incestuous relationship between Lot and his daughters - but righteous Lot is not to be blames because he was drugged and raped by his daughters. And because these incestuous relations happened in the isolated mountains away from anyones sight, no one can come forward and disprove the writer's claims. See how that works?
who are the real heroes of society?.
are they not the people who are doctors and nurses and teachers and firemen and policemen and counselors and humanitarians?.
because of the watchtower organization, we are missing generations of those kinds of heroes who will not exist (but could have) because jehovah's witnesses destroyed them by convincing millions of it's members those professions are meaningless and unimportant for them to pursue.
i hated ministry book bags.i hated coming out of my home with the book bags looking like i was going to a seminar.so,i starting going to the ministry school and sunday bible meetings holding only the required books for that day in my hand.. for the sunday meetings,i would just carry the song book,bible and watchtower magazine in my hand.

Is it just me, or does that bible account seem eerily similar to the account of the men surrounding Lot's house wanting to rape the angels? It has been said by one bible expert that this story is actually a bit of false propaganda designed to paint the people in that area as being as vile as the Sodomites, thus the story was deliberately written to mimic the account with Lot.
It has also been said that the story of Lot's daughters drunking him and raping him is also a bit of propaganda designed to tarnish the image of the Moabites and the Ammonites - the nations supposedly born out of the incestuous relations mentioned in the account. This seems to make sense as such an account provides no real spiritual benefit at all. I can think of no reason why such sordid details of how the Moabites and Ammonites came into being is of any spiritual benefit. It only makes sense to share such info if the motive is the tarnish the image of those nations.

It seems like she's waking up but is still battling with the cult phobia of apostate information. And as another poster mentioned she might relapse into cult-mode. I don't know if you've already tried this but I think it might be helpful:
Why not watch a movie about someone who is in the grip of a cult or some other psychologically manipulative authority that uses fear of the opposition to keep the person ignorant of the truth and in continued mental enslavement to the cult or authority.
Without bringing up the subject of Watchtower, get her to see Watchtower's tactic of using anti-apostate propaganda, mirrored in some other religious cult. Planet of the apes is an example of a movie that has a parallel. The ape rulers enforced a forbidden zone where all the apes were forbidden from going because they ape rulers didn't want the apes finding relics of past human civilization which would have proved that humans, contrary to what the ape rulers were saying, were intelligent beings. This mirrors Watchtower's policy of creating a forbidden zone - apostate sites - to prevent current JWs from finding out the untruths and misdeeds of the organization that led former members to leave.
So once you get her to see other manipulative authorities in movies, using censorship and fear of dissidents to control information and maintain control of those they have mentally enslaved, that should help her to think that Watchtower has perhaps done the same to her by having her afraid of visiting apostate sites.
